Cellist Dorottya Etheridge is an exciting and highly trained classical and fusion cellist based in Worthing. Dorottya grew up in Hungary where she trained in cello performance from a very young age.
Dorottya’s qualifications include a Diploma from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and a Performance Diploma from the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music.

Private cello tuition is available for both children or adults.
Instructional sessions can be booked for 30 minute or 60 minute slots.
Sessions can take place in person, online or in a hybrid in-person / online format.

About Dorottya

Dorottya Etheridge is a powerful, classically trained cellist who delivers passion and sensuality into her traditional, modern and multi-genre cello performances.
She received formal training at the St.Stephen’s Music School as well as the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary.
Dorottya has professionally performed as a principal and featured cellist in various orchestras in the UK and Europe. She continues to arrange and perform an array of classical symphonic, fusion, pop, Bollywood as well as more traditional musical selections for clients for various weddings, private celebrations and corporate events.
Dorottya continues playing professionally with different ensambles, duos, trios, quartets, as well as in various shows in the UK such as:
Symphonic Ibiza, (James Bond/Coldplay) Candle Light Ensembles, Symphonix Orchestra and the International Film Orchestra.
Dorottya also provides group and individualised cello tuition for children and adults.

Absolutely. I know many musicians in the area, other string players, pianist, harpist, singers, flautist. I am more than happy to play with them or someone you book yourself. I am an experienced player, always happy to play together with other musicians. I am happy to send you a quote.
It takes me about 15 minutes to set up, however I always arrive 45 minutes before booking time.
I need a chair on the day, otherwise I bring my cello and equipment.
I am based in Worthing, I have played in several amazing venues such as Bath Abbey, Marlborough College Summer School, Wiltshire Music Centre, American Museum & Gardens
I was the soloist, playing the beautiful Elgar’s Cello Concerto in 2023 August accompanied by The Fulltone Orchestra in Devizes. I have played the Haydn Cello Concerto No.2 with orchestra.
